Oppo Reno 13 full specifications and price

After the success of the Oppo Reno series, now finally the Oppo Reno 13 series has been launched. If we look at the features, it is similar to the previous model, the Oppo Reno 12 5G. But some new updates are available in processor, battery, camera, and design. Like other phones, AI features are also seen in this. And Oppo has also added new features for Oppo to iOS file sharing. If we look at its price, then the price of the base variant starts from ₹ 37,999/$350/PKR 115,999/AED 1,349.

    Key Specifications

    • Display: 6.7-inch AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate
    • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 9200 / Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (varies by region)
    • RAM/Storage: 8GB/128GB, 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB
    • Camera:
      • Rear: 50MP (main) + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 2MP (macro)
      • Front: 32MP
    • Battery: 5000mAh with 80W fast charging
    • OS: ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 14
    • Price: Starting at ₹ 37,999/$350/PKR 115,999/AED 1,349

Design and Build Quality: Oppo Reno 13

The oppo reno 13 The design has been kept completely flat this time, so the back is also flat, as is the frame. But the most impressive thing about this phone for me in terms of design is that despite its slimness, this phone has been kept ultra-slim. Its thickness is only 7.29 mm, which is considered ultra-slim in this space. The weight is also very low, only 181 grams. Its camera module glow effect is a very unique feature; we have not seen this effect in any other phone before. It has a fully glass and metal build. The frame is made of aluminum The front has Gorilla Glass 7. While the back is also made of glass. There is no mention of back glass protection. This is a bit of a bummer, but the finish and texture of the back are very interesting. It is a soft satin matte finish. When light falls on it, you will see shades of black and blue.

And then there is this glow near the camera. I think this luminous blue is the color to get in the reno3. The second color here is plume white. There is a big upgrade in water resistance this time. This time IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance have been given. Oppo can withstand submersion for 30 minutes, and the phone with IP69 is water-resistant. The camera module is quite thin this time, and it is kept in a high gloss finish; honestly, there is no big camera bump this time. The design has been kept completely flat this time, so the back is also flat, and so is the frame. But the most impressive thing about this phone for me in terms of design is that despite its slimness, this phone has been kept ultra-slim. Its thickness is only 7.29 mm, which is considered ultra-slim in this space. The weight is also very low, only 181 grams, and then in size, this phone will be liked by compact people who like small and light phones.

    Pros:

    • Slim and lightweight
    • Premium materials and back matte finish.
    • Attractive color options.
    • IP68/IP69 rating
    • Camera blue light effect

    Display:  Oppo Reno 13

The Oppo Reno 13 has a 6.59-inch AMOLED display. This display can show 1 billion colors; that is, it is a 10-bit panel. The pixel density here is 460 ppi. It is slightly better than 60 Hz, and the peak brightness here is 1200 nits; this is a high refresh rate display, so it gives a high refresh rate of 120 Hz. Well, here a useful feature is that you can select 60 Hz in the settings to save battery, but there is another feature in this phone where you can specifically set the refresh rate of each app so that your phone does not consume too much battery. Then the hole punch cutout here on the top houses the selfie camera of the phone, and the live island functionality is also present, on which we see different types of animations. The phone will give different types of information. For example, when charging the phone’s battery, you will see it or if any message comes or any other notification. Talking about the thickness, these bezels are flagship. It is not as thin as flagship phones in thickness.

The notch is not too wide, and the screen-to-body ratio is around 90. Well, there are two main differences in the display from last time. The display of the Reno 13 5G is a bit smaller, and the second difference is that this display is completely flat. The Reno 12 had a 3D curve display, so there is no scene of a curved display here. But overall, I think that whatever your usage is, whether you watch movies and videos a lot or you do gaming or you just want a phone for everyday use, then I think this display has you covered. I did not see any important feature missing or any major compromise in this display. And then, in terms of media content, like the Reno 12, here also we have dual speakers, which honestly would have become a big difficulty at this price point if they were not in the phone. That could have been a dual speaker, but if they are here, they will greatly improve your gaming experience and watch movies and videos.

    Pros:

    • Brilliant AMOLED display with bright colors.
    • Smooth 120Hz refresh rate.
    • High screen-to-body ratio for immersive viewing.

    Cons:

    • Users expecting a QHD display may be disappointed by the Full HD+ resolution.

    Performance: Oppo Reno 13

The Oppo Reno 13 powered MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Chipset, which is a 4 nm chip. Along with this, with the MALI G615 GPU, 12GB of RAM, and 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Oppo Reno 13 delivers flagship-level performance. If you want to do multitasking, gaming, and editing videos and photos with it, this is the perfect mobile phone for all purposes. Dual SIM support is given, and also there is support for eSIM as per country. In series, the camera is always a major feature. Which means that it has 600Mah more power than Reno 12. This is another major upgrade of this phone. a more powerful processor and a bigger battery. So overall, you are going to get a much better performance than Reno 12. And then combine it with 80W fast charging. which is the same as last time. So this phone has a very fast charging speed of 80W. Talking about MediaTek Dimensity 8350, this is also a big upgrade.

The last Mediatek Dimensity 8350 processor had an AnTuTu score of 6.5 to 7 lakh, and this time it is 1.3 million (13 lakh), which is just double. An AI feature is AI photography. There are two interesting tools in the main interface: one is an AI summary, through which you can summarize any document or article through AI, and the other is an AI writer, which generates perfect word writing like chatGPT style. Oppo has added file-sharing functionality to the iPhone. For this, you will have to install the O+ Connect application on your phone, and when you share a file from the Oppo, a hotspot connection will be created and the file will be sent, so obviously it is not as seamless as iPhone to iPhone. Then we can also consider this a useful feature.

    Pros:

    • Powerful chipset for smooth performance.
    • Up to 16GB of RAM for seamless multitasking.
    • Optimized gaming experience.

    Cons:

    • No expandable storage, limiting flexibility for heavy media users.
    • Auto call recording not available

Camera: Oppo Reno 13 camera test and performance review

The Oppo Reno 13, There is a triple camera setup on the back, which has a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization. And with the help of optical stabilization, the photos come out very clearly. There is an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera; to complete the triple-camera phone, there is a 2-megapixel monochrome camera for portrait effects. The maximum video recording resolution is 4k@60fps.

The front selfie shooter has been increased from 32 megapixels to 50 megapixels. Once again, we have seen a lot of AI tools here on Oppo’s; the list is very long, and some interesting ones are AI Unblur and AI Clarity Enhancer, so if any of your images are blurred, then you can clear it through AI; then AI Razor 2.0 has also been added here so that you can remove unwanted elements from your images; and then another interesting feature is AI Motion, through which you can add some motion to the images through AI.

    Pros:

    • Excellent main camera performance.
    • Impressive low-light photography.
    • AI-powered selfie enhancements.

    Cons:

    • Ultra-wide and macro lenses could offer higher resolutions.

Battery: Oppo Reno 13 battery life and charging speed

The Oppo Reno 13 is packed with 5600 mAh, 80W fast charging, and reverse wired charging. The Reno 13 easily lasts 1 day on a single charge. The 80W fast charging feature charges the phone from 0 to 100% in 40 minutes. A reverse charging feature is also provided in Reno 13, which you can also use as a power bank.

    Pros

    • Long-lasting 5000mAh battery.
    • Super-fast 80W charging.
    • Reverse charging capability.

    Cons

    • No wireless charging support.

    Software: Oppo Reno 13

The Reno 13 runs on ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 14, with a clean and user-friendly interface. The software is intuitive, has minimal third-party apps, and features screen recording, improved encryption, and more.

ColorOS comes with a smart sidebar feature, which will help you quickly access the apps you use daily. Or you get regular updates to keep the user experience good.

    Pros:

    • Intuitive and feature-rich ColorOS.
    • Regular updates and security patches.
    • Smooth and lag-free interface.

    Cons:

    • ColorOS may feel overwhelming for users new to Oppo devices.

    Final Verdict: Oppo Reno 13

The Oppo Reno 13 has a great design, camera, performance, and powerful battery combo. It has the features of a flagship phone, but considering the price, it falls in the mid-range category. The 80W fast charging feature charges the phone from 0 to 100% in 40 minutes.

You will not get support for wireless charging in this, but you will get support for reverse charging, and you will get to see non-expandable storage. If you accept these shortcomings, Oppo Reno 13 can be the best option.

Is the Oppo Reno 13 Worth It?

The Oppo Reno 13 can be a great choice for users looking for a stylish or good mobile phone. This phone offers a combo of better display, design, processor, bigger 5600mAh battery, and better triple camera setup. If you are looking for a premium mobile phone at a competitive price range, you should put the Oppo Reno on your shortlist.
