UPI Not Working? You are not the only one.
Today tried to send money via Paytm, Google Pay, or Phonepe? Yup-upi is a thick day, and it takes us all with it.
Dowtector has already tracked over 1200 complaints, most of them about failed payments and fixed transfer. Google Pay and SBI are not much better, each facing hundreds of reports from angry users.
So far, there is no official word from the NPCI (UPI-run organization), so we just wait and expect the best.
But hey, the internet is not sitting quietly. People have jumped on X (Twitter) and reduce to share their matches – some serious, some cheer. The hashtag is #upidown trending, and users post to have no way of paying for fun memes, satirical posts and even videos.
Of course, this is disappointing – but at least we are together in it. And if nothing else, the memes give us something to laugh, while we wait for Upi to wake up and start working again.
Interestingly, this is not the first time UPI services have hit a thick note. Earlier in April, users met similar interruptions on two different occasions. According to NPCI, the current hiccups can be connected to the overload of the final financial year, leading to periodic transactions to some banks.
On the other hand, SBI users have also expressed concern for temporary power outages. So far, the bank has not shared any official explanation, and the exact cause is not clear.
