Tecno announced the Camon 40 series at the Mobile World Congress a few days ago. At this moment, only the Camon 40 and 40 Pro 4G are available and have been launched in Nigeria. I’m not sure when it will launch in other regions or when the 40 premiere and 40 Pro 5G will be available to the market, but these devices will be at MWC. I can give you a good idea of what to expect, There are exciting features and a few downgrades to note. This time the design has changed a bit and you will get this phone in two colors, one will be green and the other will be black.

The tecno is making Innovative moves with their devices, something we find lacking with smartphones these days It is only a matter of their brand reputation as people are still skeptical about the quality of their products. Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G is a complete downgrade from the 30 Pro.

The last year suspect it’s going to be cheaper too because the processor is now a Mediatek Dimensity 7300 (4 nm) the specs are more in line with the 4G version, only difference being the processor and the display refresh rate last year the 30 Pro shared most of it specifications with the premier version but this year techno decided to leave all of the premium features to the camon 40 Premiere it should be noted that it is the camon 40 Pro 5G that won best in its category with dxo Mark so impressive.

The display refresh rate is now 144 HZ an upgrade from 120HZ we had on the 30 premere even looking at the spec sheet it is evident that overall tecno built on the 30 premere and that is something they need to be commended, at previous generations of their devices they’ve always turned everything down and built from the ground up the processor is now upgraded to a (Mediatek Dimensity 8350 in Tecno camon 40 premiere, Mediatek Helio G100 Ultimate in Tecno camon 40, Mediatek Dimensity 7300 in the Tecno camon 40 Pro)  and upgrade from the 8200 one downgrade we have with the 40 Premier is the storage option (256GB+12GB) non expandable (No Card slot).

If we talk about the Techno 14 series, there is not much difference in the back camera, the camera has just been taken to the center. In the Techno Camo 40 Premier, we get a triple camera setup, which has the first 50 megapixel wide camera, 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, third one is megapixel ultra wide camera, and third one is 50 megapixel ultra wide camera. In this you get dual LED flash, and in this, you can do the highest video recording up to 4K@30/60fps (HDR).

Talking about the selfie camera, in this too you get a 50 megapixel (24mm) wide camera, and in this you can do the highest recording up to 4K@30fps.

Tecno is going to launch the Tecno 14 series, in which you will get four variants: Tecno camon 40, Tecno camon 40 Pro, Tecno camon 40 Pro 4G, and Tecno camon 40 Premiere. In this, you get an IP68/IP69 rating. Talking about the display, you get a 6.67-inch LTPO AMOLED display, 144Hz Refresh rate, HDR, and 1600 nits (HBM) brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i Protection, Always-on display, HDR image support. Android 15, based on HIOS 15, under display fingerprint, the circle to search (AI) feature is available. Talking about the battery, Li-Ion 5100 mAh with 70W fast charging, you do not get the feature of wireless charging in it, and it will be available in two color options: Emerald Lake Green, Galaxy Black.
